Terms of Service
Last updated: July 1, 2026
These Terms govern your use of AmaQnA — the website, product, JSON API, and embeddable widget. By creating an account, submitting a question, purchasing a Boost, or integrating our API, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use AmaQnA.
1. The service
AmaQnA lets experts (hosts) publish a verified knowledge twin — a public page where visitors (askers) submit questions. Answers are drafted from the host's own source material by at least two independent AI model families, spoken in the host's cloned voice, and labeled with one of four trust states: Personally approved, Source-grounded, Interpretive, or Out of scope. Every synthesized audio clip opens with an audible AI disclosure and ships with an embedded C2PA-shaped provenance manifest.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use AmaQnA. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account.
3. Host obligations, voice consent, and rights warranty
- You may only upload voice samples of your own voice. As part of the voice consent flow you warrant that you own or control the rights to the voice, that you are not bound by any exclusive talent, label, union, studio, or personality-rights agreement that prohibits this use, and you accept an indemnity in favour of AmaQnA for any breach of that warranty.
- You are responsible for the corpus you submit (text, files, URLs) and must have the rights to use it. Ingested material is chunked, embedded, and used only to answer questions on your page.
- Your host page cannot accept questions until you complete the voice consent, produce a cloned voice, and ingest a minimum amount of source material.
- You are responsible for answers you approve, publish, or auto-publish. AmaQnA is a tool, not a publisher.
4. Asker obligations
- Do not submit unlawful, harassing, defamatory, sexually explicit content targeting real people, or content that infringes others' rights.
- Do not attempt to extract personal information from a host, bypass rate limits, or misuse the API or embed.
- Understand that answers labeled Source-grounded or Interpretive are AI-generated and may be incomplete or out of date. Do not rely on any answer as professional advice.
5. Labels, disclosure, and provenance
The four-state answer label, the audible AI disclosure at the start of every synthesized clip, and the embedded C2PA-shaped provenance manifest are core features of AmaQnA. You agree not to remove, obscure, strip, or misrepresent them — whether in the product, in embeds, via the JSON API, or when re-sharing content off-platform.
6. Boosts, refunds, and host earnings
Askers may purchase a Boost to surface a question at the top of a host's approval queue. If a question cannot be grounded in the host's source material and is closed as Out of scope, the Boost is automatically refunded. Where a Boost results in a published answer, AmaQnA remits a revenue share to the host under our standard 70% / 30% split, less payment-processor fees. Host earnings are held and paid out via our payment processor and are subject to their terms.
7. API and embed licensing
Publishers and communities may license the JSON API or embeddable widget under a separate commercial plan. API keys are issued per integration, are metered, and must not be shared. You must preserve the four-state label, the audible AI disclosure, and the provenance manifest in any surface that renders or plays AmaQnA content.
8. Content ownership and license
Hosts retain ownership of their corpus, voice samples, and answers. By using AmaQnA, hosts grant us a limited, worldwide license to store, process, and display that content strictly to operate the service (including retrieval, drafting, voice synthesis, provenance tagging, publishing the host page, serving the API, and rendering licensed embeds). Askers grant hosts and AmaQnA a license to publish and display their submitted questions in connection with the answer.
9. Acceptable use
Additional rules live in our Acceptable Use Policy. Violations may lead to content removal, rate limits, revocation of API keys, loss of host earnings, or account termination.
10. Termination
You may stop using AmaQnA at any time and delete your account from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
11. Disclaimers
AmaQnA is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-drafted answers may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date even when marked Personally approved. Nothing on AmaQnA is professional, legal, medical, or financial advice.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AmaQnA is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising out of your use of the service.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
